Edwards picks up 401st career win!

Congratulations going out to the Cape Fear region'ss winningest driver, Jimmy Edwards, Jr, for picking up career win 401 Tonight at HDS! Edwards started in the third spot and quickly charged to the point holding off Derrick Francis and Shawn Beasley. Beasley and Francis waged a war for the runner-up spot allowing Edwards to slip away for the win.
Jeffrey Tyndall won the Open Wheel Modified race portion tonight, his 11th victory of 2008 in the Ricky Carter Racing entry. His son Jordan Tyndall won his third race of the year in the young Guns division. In the Super Stocks, for the second straight week, Fred Gibson from Ft. Bragg, NC held off Greg Bass,Jr. for the victory. After the win, Gibson dedicated his win to all the Armed Service Trops serving us across the world, as Gibson himself is a soldier. 600 sprint car winner was David Lee and 270 sprint winner was Michael Weeks.
Special thanks to all the drivers and crews for helping the staff run such a timely race tonight, as the last checkered flag flew at 9:57 pm! Wow! Great job guys! HDS will take next weekend off as we spend Memorial Day weekend with our families and we return to the Mighty Bull Ring May 31st.
