Bowen Cruises to SLM victory at HDS

Dean Bowen continued his winning ways Saturday night as he took top honors in the 30 lap Slm race at Hammerdown Speedway. After picking up his new car at 12:30 Saturday afternoon, the Bowen Tire& Alignment/ EB Caines/ Williamson Farms crew hustled their way to Hds and scored the win over Derrick Francis and Shawn Beasley. Points leader Zach Cox suffered motor woes during the feature and lost some valuable points as the Cox Performance entry lost power with 10 laps remaining.
In the open wheel modified feature, Autryville's Jeffrey Tyndall rolled up his 13th win of 2008 as he put the C-1 Mobile Home Movers/ Allen Kelly Heating and Cooling ride in victory lane over Mike Beasley and Richard Clew. In the Super Stock class, Rod Spatirico scored his first career win in the AAA Towing entry taking top honors over Tanner Bufkin and Donovan Jackson. The Young Guns division was an outstanding race as Dylan Hammond scored his 9th win of 08' by besting Jordan Tyndall at the stripe. In the U-car feature, Larry Mcguire rolled to another win. 270 sprint car winner was Michael Weeks and the 600 sprint car winner was Jason Brown.
